About Kelley
I have loved to travel since a child when my parents would take my three siblings and me to the Green Bay Packer football games in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Yes, there was a day when the Packers played half their games in Milwaukee. We also took a few trips cross country in our Oldsmobile station wagon with our roof top carrier and none of us strapped in seat belts or car seats! We didn't have car seats back then! We wouldn't dream of doing that now but by the grace of God, we all survived!
I grew up in Dubuque, Iowa, a small Midwest town that has been a wonderful place to raise my children and enjoy a career in regional government. But beyond my family, travel has been my passion. From the beautiful islands of Greece, to the the castles of Austria, and to the grizzly bears of Alaska, my fascination with the world around me has never been so important to me as it is today!

I do not travel alone...my co-adventurer and husband, Darrell, travels with me. Several times my sister and her husband have joined us. I am also fortunate that I have traveled for work and have seen many locations in the United States by staying a few days either before or after my meetings.

Take time to enjoy my travel stories and advice. You should find value in the "real scoop" on where to go, what to see, and the best way to get there. You will find information on affordable travel, hotels, locations to visit, itineraries, and excursions or self-planned tours. All of which you will find helpful as you plan your next vacation.
My third passion beyond my family and travel is photography. All of the photos on this site were taken by me and in the future will be available for purchase.

Finally, I decided to create travel blog as part of this website because people ask for my travel itineraries, travel advice and photos from my trips. I can benefit future travelers that want to see the world economically and efficiently but never miss an attraction. Documenting my travels with a Canon T7I camera and a 400mm and 600 mm lenses for close up shots is a crucial part of enjoying my travels. The photography documents the many memories nd provides the story in pictures versus words. Enjoy traveling through my eyes!
